Mobile Gadgets: Kindle 2 Skins Not What Some Expect
The Amazon Kindle 2 is gorgeous so why would anyone want to alter the sleek and clean look. I guess that after a while we all want to personalize our electronics in one-way or another.
If you are familiar with “skins” you know that they are much like a big sticker. They are designed to fit specific gadgets such as laptops, cell phones and yes – the Kindle 2. Skins are intended to add color and design as well as protection from scratches and fingerprints.
It seems as no one is complaining about the colors or designs offered on the Kindle 2 Skins. However, they are complaining about the price. Some Kindle 2 Skins are designed to only cover the backside so it is pretty small and are priced at nearly $20. There are others that are quite decorative and cover both the backside and the front as well and sells for approximately $15. A large selection can be found on Amazon.
Some graphics offered on the Kindle 2 Skins are like photographs. They are colorful and tastefully done. With any popular gadget like the Kindle 2 it is expected that the accessories will be expensive. I suggest that if you are bothered by the price just enjoy the original look of the Kindle 2. In my opinion it is best left alone.
