Mobile Gadgets: NeatReceipts Mobile Scanner 2.0 for MAC Users

NeatReceipts for Mac is a mobile scanner. It is small and can be carried with you or it can be used at your desk. All you need is a USB port – no need to for a power cable. Receipts, business cards, expense reports and documents can be scanned into your computer – then can be organized into categories. Drag and Drop functionality allows you to drop scanned items into other applications including email.
The downside to using a flatbed scanner for receipts is that it is very time consuming. I end up grouping several receipts into one scan and then I loose the ability to search them individually. NeatReceipts turns each scanned receipt into a PDF file that can be edited, organized and sent to an Excel Spreadsheet as well as some financial applications such as Quicken, QuickBooks and TaxCut.
Tax preparation is greatly simplified with the NeatReceipts Scanner. The IRS accepts the scanned copies. If you ever have the need to re-print the receipt it is available to you.
NeatReceipts software interface was designed to look like other MAC applications. Each scanned receipt becomes a searchable PDF file. Other PDF files on your computer can be imported into NeatReceipts.
The NeatReceipts scanner weights approximately 10.6 ounces and measures less than 11” x 2” x 1.5”. A wide range of receipts can be scanned – as little as 1” x 1” all the way up to 8.5” x 14”. You can expect to scan 3-4 receipts within one minute.
NeatReceipts Scanners are available for PCs. It is time that they are available for the MAC as well.
