Sony Vaio CS Series - Photo from Amazon.comIf you are looking for a powerful yet beautiful laptop the Sony Vaio CS series may be just what you are looking for. It is a 14.1 inch laptop that pleases those with the taste for color as well as those that require speed and a lot of storage capacity.

Pink, red, black and white are the colors available. Unlike many colorful laptops the color does not end when you lift the screen. The Vaio CS series is colorful on the top, inside and bottom. The full size keyboard is white on the pink and white versions and the full size keyboard are black on the red and black versions.

Power is no problem with the Vaio CS series. The 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 64Bit processor runs Vista Home Premium quite well. The 4GB of Ram insures that sluggish performance is not an issue. The 250GB hard drive insures plenty of space for videos, digital photos, music and data files as well.

Power users will appreciate the connectivity and multiple storage possibilities. Integrated memory card readers include Sony Memory Card Duo and SD memory cards. The built in DVD drive is dual-layer (8.5GB). Next there is an ExpressCard slot and 3 USB ports. There is a FireWire port (also known as IEEE 1394 or i.Link). A 10/100 Fast Ethernet and quad-mode Wireless WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 is integrated.

Personally I prefer a lighter weight laptop but the 5.7 pounds of the CS series is reasonable for all that is included. Unfortunately there are always trade-offs.
