I find myself tapping my fingers in rhythm when I am deep in thought. It is amazing how different the sound is depending on the surface. My glass desk looks better than it sounds. Thud, thud, thud is what my ears hear but my mind is hearing the theme to one of my favorite movies.

Playing in the band was never a dream but I loved hearing the drummer beat out my high school theme song. Is there anyone out there that does not secretly wish deep down that they had a set of drums? Who would not like to play in a rock band – hair, arms and drumsticks flying?

Now it is easier to play the drums for real (sort of) without wearing out your fingertips or learning to perform in front of a crowd. Electronic gadgets continue to make life more fun. The tips are sensitive so they recreate the drum sounds whenever tapped. To complete the feel – clang the cymbals as well.
