Mobile Gadgets: Dell Mini 9 cursor jump due to sensitive touch pad
This post is an experiment. Yesterday every time I would start typing at a faster pace on this Dell Mini 9 Netbook the cursor would jump to another line without any apparent reason. I think that the problem of the jumping cursor was due to lightly touching the mouse pad while typing.
Google did not give me very many answers. It was mentioned in forums a couple of times that the mouse pad is super sensitive. Up to this point it seems that this theory may have some substance behind it. I have been very careful not to touch the mouse pad and the cursor has not jumped even once.
I have raised my desk chair in order to change my wrist position just a little. I tend to rest my wrists on the edge of my desk while I type. This is probably why I like to use a small laptop – the low profile and small form factor fits my hands.
Before you tell me that this is not an ergonomic way to work I will agree with you – however it is comfortable.
