Mobile Gadgets: BauBau Netbook Sleeve protects with Memory Foam
Is there a perfect laptop sleeve out there? Maybe, but I have not found it yet. Maybe I am mistaken but I bet you have not either. My pledge is that I will search and report on any sleeve that catches my eye and that provides the best protection for all laptops.
One of my top picks so far is called BauBau. I assume it is pronounced like the nursery rhyme about a black sheep. This particular sleeve is designed to fit multiple netbooks that measure approximately 8.9 inches and is made from memory foam. A unique feature is that the double zipper that allows entrance from the top or from the side.
Outside the memory foam protects the precious cargo from bumps and scratches and the inside is also protective. The BauBau 5mm Memory Foam Sleeve is lined with faux suede microfiber. I would feel comfortable carrying my Dell Mini 9 in this sleeve – inside or outside my work case or purse. I realize that the neoprene style sleeves are thinner and more compact but their structure is lacking.
My Sony Vaio 11.1” laptop has its own leather carrying case – much like this BauBau laptop sleeve (not leather). It fits neatly in my bag (purse) and I do not have to worry about the other gadgets damaging it. Sure, I am careful but I am not nervous about it on a daily basis.
It is possible that I am attracted to the BauBau Memory Foam Laptop Sleeve because I am so pleased with my own leather case mentioned above. The price is also amazing – under $20. More research is in order but I am not sure I will find another sleeve that I like better. Stay tuned.
