The Rubik’s cube has always been one of those games that separate the amazing from the not so amazing. It seems that either you understand how to play or you do not. Some conquered the cube within seconds and others could try for several days and never figure it out. The temptation to cheat is very high among those that cannot stand to fail as they resort to moving the colored stickers when no one is looking.

You would think that a game that causes so many to fail would become unpopular and just fade away. Instead the Rubik’s cube just keeps returning to popularity and gets updated to draw in even more competitive souls.

It is no surprise that the Rubik’s cube has been remade into an electronic game named Rubik’s Revolution. In fact it has become six games in one.

· Light Speed – You have to find the light and turn it off as fast as you can
· Pattern Panic – You have to memorize a sequence of lights and repeat it as fast as you can
· Rapid Recharge – You have to turn on all the lights as fast as you can
· Code Cracker – You have to light up six colors in the correct order as fast as you can
· Cube Catcher – You have to turn off the lights as fast as you can
· Multiplayer Madness – Pass the cube between players while turning off all of the lights fast as you can

Both the original Rubik’s Cube and the new Rubik’s Revolution require speed both in thought and dexterity. I have to admit that I gave up trying figure out the original but I cannot quit trying to win the Revolution.
