Mobile Gadgets: Power gadgets from your cup holder
Traveling with gadgets is a great way to work, play and watch movies on the go. There is no need to stay at home when there are places to go, people to see and things to do.
However, all of those gadgets need power and the batteries run down at the most inopportune times. There are many ways to avoid running out of battery power but some ways are easier and more compact than other ways. Seldom do we think about carrying a battery pack with us on short trips. But we also don’t always check our battery life before a short trip either.
Wagan sells several models. Some have multiple 12V (auto) ports and some have USB ports as well. Since car cup holders are usually not the greatest for holding drinks they should be available to power your gadgets. Why would you want a power adapter that sits in a cup holder instead of one that simply plugs into the “cigarette lighter”? Simple, what if someone in the back seat needs to use a power port? Depending on where the cp holders are located the length of the cables would not be as much of an issue.
Additional features are found on the Wagan Twin USB/DC Cup Holder Adapter. There are two USB ports and there are battery power lights that provide information on the battery’s charge. This one device could save the hassle of carrying multiple charging cables. In my opinion this is one gadget that deserves a second look if you are in the market for a car charger. If you own gadgets and you spend time in the car – enough said.
