Gadgets: Samsung Digital Camcorder records onto an SD card
This weekend I will be forming my opinion about a new Digital Camcorder that I purchased. It is quite different from most others that I have owned or operated. There are no tape and no hard drive. An SD memory card is the brain and will be the media used to record.
This “Samsung Digital Cam Shoot and Share Memory Camcorder” is very small it has a fold out LCD monitor screen. There are few buttons to navigate and one of them is dedicated to telling me how much battery life is remaining. The handle fits snug around my hand and it swivels to let me shoot from several angles.
The camcorder is bright cherry red and it will not easily be misplaced. That is a good thing since there is no neck strap. My hands are small and the camera is shorter than my outstretched fingers.
I figure that it will be comparable to a Flip Video camcorder but I like that I have more control over it. I will not be limited to 60 minutes of video and the ability to easily upload video to Youtube.com is included on this Samsung Digital Camcorder as well.
It is advertised to be very simple to use and the video is said to be very good. Tomorrow will tell the tale when I gather with family and friends. I am anxious to see how well it functions inside of a packed house.
