Gadgets: Kid-Tough digital camera satisfies kids

Published by debcook under technology Edit This

When adults buy a Fisher Price Kid-Tough Camera they are looking to keep the kids distracted from their own digital camera. Photography and kids just go together and they love to take pictures as much as they like being in them.

When kids are small they have small hands and short fingers. They run and play without worrying that they will bump and drop a camera. The image quality is not their concern – just snapping the shot of anything interesting is their goal.

Adults on the other hand gets hung up on everything from the megapixel count to the fuzzy image taken in a dark room. Maybe they should be more impressed about the 2-eye viewfinder that lets little ones line up shots using both eyes.

Again, the kids just want to have fun. They love seeing their photo displayed on the computer. As they get older they will expect more and by then they will be capable of handling a more advanced camera.

The price of the Fisher Price Kid-Tough Camera is more than most people expect. It is disconcerting to pay nearly $100 for a child’s toy. Remember that it is a toy but it is also a working digital camera. It takes digital pictures, the photos are immediately displayed on an LDC screen, there is internal memory as well as an SD card slot and the photos can be transferred to a computer. It also tolerates extreme treatment. The camera comes in pink or blue so it can be personalized to the child.

The bottom line is that the camera is built for small children. It will keep a small child happy and interested in their environment. When was the last time a $100 fulfilled so many needs?
