Gadgets: Decorative gadgets for a fun and safe Halloween

Published by debcook under technology Edit This

Halloween is nearly here. Kids are busy planning the details of their costume while the kids-at-heart are making plans of their own. Lighted decorations can add to the kid’s Halloween experience and there are many options to choose from.

Just like Christmas – Halloween can be a fun time to string decorative lights. Ghosts, pumpkins and witches hung on a porch, around a window or door helps set the mood.

You could go a little further by using “green” solar powered Halloween decorations. The sun charges the lantern of a “corpse” that appears to rise from the ground. After dark this ghoulish figure helps light the path. Amazon sells the Solar Corpse Light for approximately $70.

If you prefer a less spooky path try a solar Halloween Pumpkin Statue Light. The Batteries charge during the day and make the pumpkin glow at night. There are also Halloween lights attached to mesh designed wires lays over an outside bush. You will find several of these by searching Google or by checking out your local retailers.

Many people decorate their porch to greet groups of kids that show up to trick-or-treat. The Solar Globe Light would be a fun choice. Set up a small table that resembles one that a fortune-teller would sit at while telling your fortune. For less than $30 on Amazon, this would be a colorful yet “not to scary” Halloween decoration.

Lights for the yard are a fun and safe way to provide a safe and alluring environment for kids and families to celebrate Halloween.
