iPhone 3G - Still does not have my whole heart

Published by debcook under technology Edit This

HTC makes great phones. I am sure that there are some that do not agree with me – but that is my opinion.

Why do I like HTC cell phones? I like Windows Mobile, I like QWERTY keyboards, and I like using a Touchscreen. I own an AT&T 8525, which is a HTC TyTN. I considered buying an AT&T Tilt but decided to wait.

Sure there are features that I do not care for. The number one irritation is that you think you have hung up from a call and then you find out that you are still connected. Can be pretty embarrassing when you make that trite remark and then find out you that you are still on a live call. The screen goes blank so quickly that you have to manually turn the screen back on and touch the hang up key.

That being said, I am now looking closely at the HTC Touch Pro. It has Windows Mobile 6.1 and GPS for starters. I’d love to have one to play with for a while.

You may have read on this blog already that I gave in and bought an iPhone 3G. I like the look. It has a wonderful Touchscreen and it is like having a new toy to play with. Ending a call is obvious with that big red button that says ‘END CALL”. The GPS works well enough that I have not purchased a standalone device yet. I really miss my cut/copy/paste and task list.

As soon as I can surf the web on an HTC cell phone the way I can on my iPhone 3G – guess which one will win my affection.
