Cell Phones - Sony Ericsson Walkman with issues may be replaced within 1 year

Published by debcook under technology Edit This

The Sony Ericsson Walkman cell phone got a lot of attention at our business when one of the employees bought a pink one. At the time several of us had started Weight Watchers and I guess my jogging routine motivated a couple of people. The Sony Ericsson Walkman cell phone has a pedometer so that little pink cell phone was shared whenever a lunch walk was taken.

All was well until recently. I purchased Bluetooth headsets for several employees that ended their race across the room to grab their cell phones each time they rang. They were a big hit. That is why I was surprised to see that the pink one that matched the Sony Ericsson Walkman (somewhat) was not being used after a few weeks. Apparently it was dropping the Bluetooth connection. I helped her re-pair it several times. STRIKE #1

One very hot day she came in to work upset that she had ruined her phone. We all laughed at her when she told us what had happened. The evening before she had jogged about a mile with her cell phone tucked into her bra. She noticed afterwards that the screen was discolored and looked like it may have moisture inside of it. STRIKE #2

STRIKE #3 was the dropped calls, the missed calls and the phantom voice messages. People told her that they had tried to call and she did not answer. She had a voice message icon on the screen but there was no voice mail – until almost six hours later. I know that rebooting cell phones help with a myriad of issues but that did not help.

Today she called AT&T and to her surprise she is getting a new Sony Ericsson Walkman cell phone. There is a recall on the phone so since she has owned it for less than a year AT&T will replace it. We all laughed again because apparently the screen discoloration was one of the reasons for the recall. It had nothing to do with her bra.
