Mobile Gadgets - Myvu for my iPod
Accessories for the iPod must be an unending venture for the electronic gadget industry. The Myvu is the latest one that I have found – and I like it!
Two years ago at Christmas I bought myself an 80GB Black Video iPod. The plan was to carry it during my morning jog but it just never turned out that way. I found it a bit heavy and so I continued to use my favorite AM/FM radio instead. Then I was going to download podcasts to it and that did not turn out to be the case either.
Maybe I just bought it because everyone else had an iPod and this one was really cool. It is the shiny black U2 version with the shiny metal back. I have a real weakness for electronic gadgets – especially the shiny ones.
My (almost) unused iPod is laying on my desk right where it has been for quite a while just incase I decide to plug it into my computer and download something. Well this Myvu Video Viewer could be the missing link that could join me and my iPod back together. In case you do not know what I am talking about, the Myvu looks like a pair of space age sunglasses. Attach them to an iPod and they become a personal video viewer. Earbuds are attached. What a great way to watch a movie when you are multitasking!
Yes, that it what I said – watch a movie while multitasking sounds like a good thing to me. It is very difficult to sit long enough to see a full movie. I constantly think of things that need to be done. So since the Myvu is totally mobile it could be best used while on the go. There are always snippets of unproductive time throughout the day that may be best used watching a movie or at least part of one.
I am not sure that I will buy a Myvu but I am considering it. I have several mobile electronic gadgets that I work with so it would be great to have one to play with.
