3G iPhone - Cool Notes with Evernote

This is the 5th day and my 3G iPhone is still missing from my life. I called the AT&T store yesterday and was told (again) that it would be at least 3-5 working days (excuse me I work everyday) and it could even be 7-10 working days. I have decided to start a countdown to the day that I am notified to pick up my iPhone and that could be July 25th

In the meantime I have somewhat patiently been searching for cool things that I will be able to do with my new 3G iPhone. Downloads for games and music do not interest me so much but I am anxious to see mobile programs that resemble those that I have on my PDA phone.

I use lists for several things during my day. I keep these lists handy in the “Notes” area of Mobile 6.0. My grocery list, my office supply list and that sort of thing saves me time and extra trips to the store – hence I burn less time and less gas.

I will miss the handwriting recognition that I have now and will not have later. However, I found “evernote” which looks like a piece of software I could really like. Among a multitude of ways to remind you of things evernote includes photo notes and audio notes. Clips from the Internet can be captured and saved as notes – great for shopping. The notes are then saved until you need to find them again.

All of the notes will then be synced among all of my devices such as my iPhone, my laptop and my desktop computer. Evernote will run on either Windows XP or Vista and Mac OSX 10.5 so I’ll be covered.

From what I’ve read so far evernote will give me a better way to enjoy and remember experiences throughout my day and on top of that it is free. Sounds good to me!
