Mobile Data - USB Flash Drives

Flash Drives are a huge part of my daily routine. Now that there are large capacity versions of 16GB, 32GB and even 64GB Flash drives readily available to make my mobile work easier than ever. Sometimes I receive an unbelieving response from people when I say that I carry my laptop and all of my files with me at all times.

For a little background – I keep all of the books for my family business. I scan every piece of paper so I have thousands of digital data files. There are payroll records, government report records, warranty records and an untold number of receipts that I need access to. At times I have to look at files from a few years back. I cannot just return home to my home office to look something up. So, I keep them handy by using portable backup drives. My favorites are USB Flash drives. They are available from 1GB to 64GB and at many different price points.

You may be thinking that it is unwise to carry some of these files on a device that is so easily lost or stolen. Not to worry because many of these USB Flash drives have integrated security software and even biometric finger print readers on them. For example, the 64GB Kanguru FlashBlu Max Flash Drive has 128-bit AES Encryption and the 8GB Kanguru Bio AES Biometric Flash Drive has 256-bit encryption. For anyone needing security but not a lot of storage space there is the 1GB Kanguru Bio AES Biometric Flash Drive.

In terms of cost these large capacity Flash Drives are getting more affordable. There are many different brands and models but I am becoming more and more impressed by the Kanguru brand. They are available from 1GB to 64GB and at many different price points.

I have an 8GB drive with the no trace browsing one it. That means I can plug it into any computer and leave no trace where I’ve been. That is a great feature even at home. If I shop online for a gift no one can trace my shopping!
