2nd Generation 3G iPhone - I Bought One

Yes, I did it. I bought a 16GB iPhone in Black. The line was long but the wait was not too bad. Did I get caught up in the iPhone glitch? No. Was I just lucky? No.
Though it is true that I bought the new 3G iPhone this morning I do not have it in my hot little hands – yet. Instead all of us in line were offered an order option. We chose our (8GB or 16GB) iPhone in either (white or black) and the rate plan. We paid for our 3G iPhone (credit card only) and were assured that it would arrive at the AT&T store with 3 to 5 working days. ARG!
I sometimes have a tendency to conjure up a conspiracy theory or two. Could the iPhone’s national glitch be the reason that I did not get my iPhone today? Did the AT&T store actually have them in the back room and just did not want to deal with more problems? By the time I get my iPhone their problems should be solved. HMMM…
In all seriousness I am very anxious to receive my new iPhone. Although I agreed to a new 2yr contract I was able to retain my present cell phone data rate plan (it already met iPhone requirements) as well as my accrued rollover minutes.
The minute I receive my new 3G iPhone I will report back to you! Until then my plan is to find a cell phone case on ebay and buy it.
