Bluetooth Headset - Decision Made
2008-07-09 20:40:37
A couple of days ago I wrote about my Motorola H12 Bluetooth Headset and how it was not working correctly. For some reason it worked great one day and the next day I could hardly hear someone talking to me. The volume would not increase and what I could hear sounded muffled.
I took my H12 back to the AT&T store where I bought it. I explained the best I could what the problem was.
After testing it – first with me wearing the H12 and the salesman talking on my cell phone – then he wore the H12 and I talked to him over his BlackBerry cell phone. Luckily we both agreed that there was a definite defect and he replaced my H12 with a brand new one.
I have mentioned before that under some circumstances I purchase insurance/warranties on some of my electronic gadgets. I also mentioned that most electronic gadgets have a 1 year limited warranty included in the price. The Motorola H12 was purchased in December 2007 so it was well within the year’s coverage.
I encourage anyone to take the time and make the effort to have a defective product repaired or replaced. Chances are that you are not the only one with a defective product and it helps the retailer know that there may be a larger problem that needs to be dealt with. Keep your receipts in a safe place at least until the warranty has run out. If part of the packaging has the warranty details printed on it – keep that handy as well.
